Time is running out for Mercer County residents impacted by the remnants of Tropical Storm Helene to apply for FEMA assistance. The deadline for financial aid covering home repairs, personal property losses, and other disaster-related expenses not covered by insurance is Friday, Feb. 7, 2025.
Residents affected by the Sept. 25-26, 2024, flooding can apply for federal assistance in several ways:
By Phone: Call 800-621-3362 between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m., seven days a week. Relay services, including video relay and captioned telephone services, are supported.
Mobile App: Download the FEMA app to apply from a smartphone or tablet.
In-Person: Visit the Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Princeton to speak directly with FEMA representatives.

The center provides accessible services for individuals with mobility challenges, impaired vision, or hearing disabilities.
Feb. 7, 2025, is also the deadline to apply for a U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) physical disaster loan. These loans help homeowners, renters, and business owners recover from storm-related damages.
