TENNERTON, W.Va. (WV News) — A rollercoaster two-game stretch over the past week saw the Buckhannon-Upshur boys basketball team narrowly miss out on notching its second-straight ranked win, falling in a closely contested road date with No. 2-ranked Bridgeport Indians before correcting course by collecting a home win over Route 33 rival Lewis.

Fresh off unseating Fairmont Senior back on Jan. 23, Buckhannon-Upshur opened the game playing with confidence, building a 22-16 halftime lead over Bridgeport. However, the Buccaneers couldn’t complete the upset, falling to a second-half surge from the Indians in a 45-38 loss on Tuesday.
