The coats are being distributed through the United Way’s partner agencies and organizations that work with children in need, including Communities in Schools, CASA and Hero's Haven Child Advocacy Center. Representatives from these organizations are ensuring the coats reach those who need them most, according to a news release.
Martin Howe, executive director of the United Way of Harrison and Doddridge Counties, welcomed the donation.
“We are incredibly thankful to Jenkins Subaru for their generous donation,” Howe said. “These coats are making a significant impact on the lives of many children in our community. It’s heartwarming to see local businesses step up and support our mission to help those in need.”
Jenkins Subaru General Manager Matt Jenkins emphasized the dealership’s commitment to "giving back to the community that has supported us over the years."
“Partnering with Operation Warm and the United Way allows us to make a tangible difference in the lives of children in our area. We are honored to be part of this effort to ensure that every child has the comfort and resources they need this winter," Jenkins said.
