Folks, we made it to the end of January! It was no longer than the previous Januarys, but it did seem that way.
The last few winters have spoiled us. We are not used to being told to stay inside and off the roads, school cancellations and delays, galore and all of our social activities cancelled.
We must remember that the folks that are out there in the trenches trying to keep us safe have a thankless job. We must ask ourselves: Would we want to be out in the frigid temperatures in charge of decisions as to whether our family, friends and neighbors are going to be safe if they travel during a snowstorm or shortly, thereafter?
I answer “NO” to that question. I hope that you will, too! Going forward, be courteous, understanding and if someone gets it wrong, remember they did not mean to get it wrong.
They did their best with the information that was in front of them. Stay safe, stay warm.
I leave you with… “Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.” – The 14th Dalai Lama
