BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WV News) — West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) hosted its annual graduation and nursing pinning ceremony for 43 graduates on Friday.

The ceremony was held at the Bridgeport United Methodist Church in Bridgeport, WV, where graduates and their loved ones gathered to celebrate the culmination of their hard work and dedication to their education.
Their 18 months of training at WVJC Bridgeport have provided them with the skills, knowledge, and experience to face the challenges and open new opportunities within the healthcare and IT fields.
Of the 43 graduates who earned their degrees and diplomas at this ceremony, 10 completed the Practical Nursing program, nine completed the Medical Assisting diploma program, tthree completed the Clinical Medical Assistant program, two completed the Dental Assisting program, one completed the Dental Assisting diploma program, and six completed the Information Technology program.
Their training has prepared them for careers in their desired fields, and the WVJC Bridgeport team is thrilled to have played a significant part in their career journeys, officials said.
“The graduation ceremony is a true celebration of all the effort and energy a student puts into their education to succeed. I could not be more proud of these students! It is and has always been one of my favorite days of the student life cycle,” said WVJC Bridgeport Campus Director Adam Pratt. “Congratulations to each of our students, and we wish you well in your careers!"
