Snow….Schmow! Alright, I made up my own word. Just shows how much I dislike the white stuff. I am applauding the work crews and those that make a living this way in the winter. You folks, rock! We were fortunate to have a young man stop by and offer to do our walk and stairs for a reasonable fee. I also applauded his entrepreneurship.

Fundraising Dinner
Lady Polar Bears Basketball will be holding an Elimination Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1529 Mary Lou Retton Drive, Fairmont. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Cash prize is $1,000. $75 per ticket (entry for two). 21+ cash bar will be available. Reach out to your favorite Lady Polar Bear baller or coach.
Volunteers Needed

Drive-thru Spaghetti Dinner
Craving a delicious meal and supporting a great cause? Support the West Fairmont Middle School wrestling program on Sunday, Jan. 26 from noon to 3 p.m. $15 per meal. Includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert.
Fairmont Little League
Registration is officially OPEN! Registration is done online at www.fairmontlittleleague.us. All registrations between now through Jan. 21, 2025, will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods! Registration price also includes uniform jersey and hat. You will be prompted to choose sizes for those with links to size charts that are available. Sibling Discount — you will see a $10 discount per child after the first full price registration. Baseball divisions are available for ages four & up (Jr & Sr league are open again this year as well). Softball is available for the ages 6-12. Line Dancing Classes
Every Sunday, the public is invited to the Fairmont Eagles, 305 1st St. for Line Dancing Classes. Beginners run from 2-3 p.m. and Intermediate from 3-4 p.m. $5 per lesson. Open to all ages.
Watercolor Florals Class
Learn the basics of creating a bouquet of watercolor florals. We will learn about basic composition, line drawing, wet on wet vs. wet on dry painting, and how to add texture and details to our flowers. It may be winter, but flowers are blooming at Emerge, 606 Fairmont Avenue, Suite B, Fairmont, Wednesday, Jan. 22, 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. $10 for supplies, ages 8-18.
